VCCS posting in RMS

We are excited to announce effective June 13, 2022, all VCCS postings in the VCCS PeopleAdmin system are properly interfacing and publishing to RMS under the State Jobs search criteria on the jobs.virginia.gov website! Agencies who were posting directly to the State website (RMS) can discontinue doing so.

Postings will appear under both the State Government Jobs and the Higher Education Jobs tiles. In addition, when a candidate searches for jobs, they will now be able to search by agency name vs. having all postings under Virginia’s Community Colleges.

Items to Note:

DHRM requested the transition be phased in, so for the next 3 weeks, the interface to RMS will occur on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. After the 3 weeks, DHRM will confirm the interface is not causing any issues with RMS and we will move to a daily interface.

If you were posting in both VCCS PeopleAdmin and directly to RMS, you will temporarily see double postings. This will resolve when you close out the posting.

If you were not using a close-by date on your posting in VCCS PeopleAdmin, you will need to add a close date and republish the posting. This will update RMS to ensure the posting does not remain open indefinitely. SSC ATS is available to assist you with this if needed.

Process Change: Going forward, the close-by date will be a required field. This information will interface to RMS to automatically close the posting and ensure your postings do not remain published indefinitely.

We are working with leadership to finalize a standardized process and timing for all postings and will distribute the guidelines shortly.
