New eVA Training Update

As announced on 6/1/22, the new eVA system go-live date is set for 11/1/22. As we are preparing for the new go-live date, we would like to communicate the following items related to training:

  • The SSC will be offering new eVA system training beginning in August. We will have detailed sessions available for requisitions as well as alternate streamlined sessions designed specifically for approvers.
  • SSC led sessions will cover VCCS specific information. We have received inquiries around our recommendation regarding attending the DGS led training sessions. Since these will be generic sessions, where some information may not be allowable or may not relate to VCCS, we do not recommend attendance.
  • Self-Paced Learning Journeys remain available in VIP, if you have not already completed them, please do so. You will now see the option for enrolling in Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) at the end of your learning journey. These are the DGS sessions, please do not enroll in these sessions (see above).
  • Upon completion of your Self-Paced Learning Journeys, you will a message on retrieving your entry ticket for the VILT sessions. The VCCS will not be utilizing the entry ticket process, in fact, DGS has communicated that the entry ticket process will be going away altogether. For now, please ignore the entry tickets. More information will be forthcoming on registration for VCCS VILT sessions.
